Use Text Case Transform to clean up inconsistent capitalization before sharing or exporting your sheet.

How to use Text Case Transform

Section titled “How to use Text Case Transform”

  1. Open the tool
    Extensions → Text To Table Converter → Mega Tools → Text Case Transform.

  2. Select the scope
    Work on the current selection (recommended) or the active sheet.

  3. Pick a transform

    • Smart Case: Sentence case with protections for acronyms and proper nouns
    • Sentence case
    • lowercase
    • UPPERCASE
    • Title Case (minor words can stay lowercase)

  4. Preview and apply
    Use the inline preview (if available) to verify the transform, then click Apply to update the cells.

When to use it

  • Standardize headers before exporting or sharing CSVs
  • Normalize mixed-case survey responses
  • Clean up pasted text from emails or PDFs
