PDF Split & Merge

Merge PDFs, extract or reorder pages, rotate pages, and add page numbers, watermarks, or password protection in the production PDF Split & Merge workbench.

PDF Split & Merge is the page-management workbench in the Text To Table Converter add-on. It is separate from PDF Editor, which is the annotation tool for adding text, highlights, drawings, shapes, images, and comments.

Open Extensions > Text To Table Converter > PDF & Image Tools > PDF Split & Merge, or open the matching action from the sidebar.

Merge two PDFs together, or split off just the pages you need — the finished file opens right in your browser.

PDF Editor is a different tool

Choose PDF Editor when you need annotations. Choose PDF Split & Merge when you need to combine files or change page structure.

Merge PDF files

  1. 1Add two or more PDF files from your device or Google Drive.
  2. 2Drag the files or pages into the required order.
  3. 3Review optional page numbers, watermarks, or protection settings.
  4. 4Create the combined PDF, then download it or use the available Drive save action.

Split or reorganize one PDF

  1. 1Add one PDF to open its page grid.
  2. 2Select the pages to keep, remove, extract, rotate, or reorder.
  3. 3Review the final order and any optional output settings.
  4. 4Create and download the new PDF.

Processing and privacy

Page organization is performed in the browser. Files chosen from Google Drive must first be made available to the workbench, and saving a result to Drive sends the completed output back to Google Drive.
